Boys and girls can become altar servers starting in fourth grade and continue through their high school years, if they choose. Being an altar server enables you to play a more active role in the Liturgy. In addition to the weekly school Masses and the weekend Masses, our altar servers also help with weddings, funerals, prayer services, Stations of the Cross, Benediction, Holy Days of Obligation Masses and our eighth grade graduation. Training is provided by our Pastor and members of our Liturgy Committee.

Seventh grade students have the opportunity to be an aide for a teacher. These students put in their time either before or after school to help a teacher with their classroom. Duties could include setting up the classroom for the day's activities, helping to hang projects in the classroom, wiping down the tables and chairs and any other items the teacher would need help with. The aiding position lasts the entire school year. Aiding is a great way for the seventh graders to step-up and take on the responsibility of assisting in a classroom!

The Ambassadors help to give tours to prospective families both at Open House and during the school year. Does your son or daughter love robotics or inventing?  Then perhaps they would enjoy joining Lego League.  This competitive team is about so much more than building with Legos.  The team works together to 1) design, build and program a robot to perform missions (such as pushing objects into place, hitting levers to make objects move etc.), and 2) create an innovative solution for a real-world problem involving this year's challenge.

If your student is entering 7th or 8th grade and is interested in finding out more about the Lego League, contact the school office. We have enough robots to have multiple teams, so if there are any 4th through 6th grade parents who are interested in coaching a team, please also contact the school office.

To see past robot competitions, search Lego League Animal Allies or Lego League Hydrodynamics on YouTube.

Campaign posters, speeches and an election finish out the process. Members vote for officers and organize service projects throughout the year.
