A bunch of toys on a table including one that says resource teacher

In an effort to support student success in school, a resource teacher is available to provide services to meet the needs of all students. The resource teacher collaborates with classroom teachers to discuss and address any concerns about students in need of interventions.

Assistance is offered through gathering more information about the students, offering support in class, attending meetings with parents and recommending children to specialists for testing (speech therapist, IU5, etc). Students may need to receive intervention or accommodation services to support and enhance learning and development.

The resource teacher provides direct services and is the case manager for students recommended to enter into the Intermediate Unit 5 (IU5) screening process or school district testing for remediation services. The availability of a resource teacher will help us to continue to work hand in hand with you for the success of your child.
