The Diocese of Erie offers two different scholarship opportunities with one application. Both scholarships are bases on financial need. The completed application and the additional required paperwork is due to the Diocese of Erie either March 1, 2024 or April 15, 2024 based on the grade levels of your children. The Greater Erie Community Action Committee (GECAC) offers tuition assistance scholarships for students attending private schools that require the payment of tuition. Private elementary, middle and high school students in Erie County are eligible. The application can be found here and has a deadline of April 22, 2024. The Children's Educational Opportunity Fund (CEO America) offers a scholarship for students in grades 2-11 that are currently enrolled in public school wishing to transfer to private school. The application can be found here SOON or in the school office and has a deadline of July 20, 2024.
Scholarships are awarded to students, grades K-3, who grow up in public housing and attend a parochial elementary school. As long as the student continues to remain in public housing and in good standing with the school, the Foundation will provide annual scholarships through the eight grade. Applications are available at any Housing Authority Office, by calling (814)452-2425 or clicking here (application available soon). The application process occurs in April of each year and scholarships are awarded in July.
The John P. Tramontano, Jr. Foundation offers scholarships to qualified applicants by a random lottery drawing. The application can be found here soon or at our school office or by calling (814)881-1441 or on their website at www.JPTFoundation.com. The deadline to return your application to the SLS Office is in May 1, 2024.
Students in grades K-11 living within the boundaries of or attending a low-achieving school district that will attend a participating private school providing JA programming and fulfill the application requirements are eligible for these two scholarships. Applications are available here. JA Inspire (grade 8 only) OR JA Achievement (grades Kindergarten- 11th) or on their website at Junior Achievement of Western PA. The deadline for this is April 1, 2024.

St. Luke Church offers tuition assistance scholarships for children attending St. Luke School. The application deadline is June 15, 2024. Please return your completed application and required documents to the SLS office.
Registered members of the above churches can contact your parish for additional information. Please check with your home parish, if it is not listed, to see if assistance is offered.
